[T2] Drive shaft bolts and washers

Broke down on the 101 freeway, on a long uphill near Camarillo,
seconds after shifting down into 3rd gear. I thought it was the clutch
or the transmission, but it turns out it was "just" three drive shaft
bolts that broke. They will need to be drilled out. Was able to find 6
replacement bolts at the VW dealer, but not the washers. They have a
specific vw part number, so how bad would it be to replace them with
generic washers?
