[T2] starter solenoid

Hi Volks
	My starter fails to work approx 1 time in 3.  I assume the 
starter solenoid should be removed & cleaned.
	I did try the Archives, but couldn't access them; that is 
supposed to be an excuse for asking the List for what is presumably 
in the Archives <:-|.
	My immediate Q:  can I remove that solenoid without removing 
the starter?  It looks to be v difficult, just at a glance; but 
advice from those who have done it before would be much appreciated
