[T2] MSD 6A help

I want to mount this unit in the nacelle behind the driver's side tailight, where I believe in some cases. a reserve battery is mounted.  The unit seems to be 'weather-sealed", and the instruction manual only warns about putting the unit next to hot temp surfaces,...so, will the air intake on the driver's side rear, allow too much moisture to get in, and if the unit is sealed, can it with stand this?  Has any list member used this unit, with a Petronix equipped distributor?  Were there any other 'things' I should be aware of, in this conversion from stock, since I am using the phamphlet in the box it came in, and the last page of said phamphlet, seems to be the one I have to use.."wiring to a Petronix Ignitor Kit"?  Should my tach just plug into the 'tach output' place on side of MSD box?
