Not the most famous but… …in the TV series Dharma and Greg, Dharma's one-acid-trip-too-many-aged-hippy father, played by Alan Rachins, drove a bay. (69-71, they never showed the wheels but enough of the front and the doors to see that it wasn't a 68.) In one of the episodes (ten-ish years ago), Rachins meets up with one of his pals from the 60s who is now a dot com millionaire. Friend asks him "after all, how long can you drive around in a thirty year old VW microbus?" Rachins gives him a look that says "is this some kind of trick question?" (you had to see it) and gives the answer everyone on this list would give: "Thirty years?" Peace, Phroggie and his Phrogbus (1970 Sportsmobile conversion) Northridge, CA
