[T2] Transmission nose cone bearing

Was under my bus today and found that the bushing in the nose cone has 
slipped forward with the seal. What normally keeps the bushing in 
place?  Is it a press fit? Should I dimple the bearing OD a little and 
push it back in?
And this is a swing axle trans. Only about 12K miles since a rebuild 
by a very reputable rebuilder 10 years ago.
