Hello list,

I'm still sorting out my engine options. I'm wondering about my transmission. Will a 6 rib vanagon transmission work as a replacement for my 68 bus 3 rib transmission?  The 3 rib (acorn nut) transmission was rebuilt but I'm worried it won't take a HP upgrade to 150 HP range. I'm considering selling my tranny or trading it towards a 6 rib transmission. Is a bus 6 rib transmission. Interchangeable with a Vanagon one?
