Put it in the freezer for half an hour. Should be not quite fully closed at zero degrees f. At room temp 70 degrees or so, should be about half or more open. Then hook it back up to the wires and turn on the key, or just feed it direct from a battery. In about 2 minutes from the freezer should be fully open. > That sounds about right.
