[T2] vacuum leak

I have a vacuum leak on one side at the flange where the Kadron 
manifold meets the head.
I've sanded the manifold flange so it is flat and smooth.
The area around the ports on the head is also smooth and free of any grit etc.
I've cleaned the areas and tried a new metal gasket.
Leak still there.

The only way forward that I can see is to apply more torque to the 
nuts. So far, I've stopped at 13 ft lbs. Has anyone torqued more than 
this?
