   Volks:  On an '82 Vanagon (Westy), air-cooled of course, how long should
the cold-start valve mechanism inject raw gas before it quits and the idle
takes over? The idle's about right on my Westy once the engine at operating
temperature but the engine won't idle at all before that. I'm not sure
what's wrong except that I don't think the engine is being choked long
enough. What's the fix for that? Any thoughts appreciated. Art McGinn
