Michael, I have been using this method with great results over the years. It is super cheap. Vinegar Distiller water Baking Soda Table Salt Use the vinegar to clean the terminals with a bit of salt as the activator (around 1 tsp per cup). I just put some in a small cup, dissolve the salt and dip the wires terminals in. After the brass begin to shine, dip them in a solution of distiller water and baking soda to stop the reaction. Around 2 Tbs per cup. I then follow up with a quick rinse in straight distiller water to get the baking soda off. Sometimes heavily corroded terminals take a couple of treatments. The same procedure works wonders on fuse boxes, headlight terminals and I have even used it to clean up circuit boards. Hope this helps!
