[T2] Braking triggers indicator relay?

Hi

A friend of mine has a weird experience in his Volkswagen T2b, 1978. This
is what he reports:

"When I press the brake pedal, very often the relay of the indicator lights
reacts. It does not trigger the indicator lights, but it just clicks. It
must have something to do with a cross-connection between the brake light
sensor and the indicator relais, but I cannot find it."

Any suggestions? Does anybody else expierence this?
