96 mm P&Cs are generally regarded as too big without other mods (stock 2l is 94mm). You need to measure your distributor advance at about 3500 rpm. If you don't have a tacho, just rev until there is no more advance. Opinions vary, but it should be about 28-30 deg with the vacuum advance disconnected and plugged. With the vacuum connected it should go up to over 40 deg. Don't worry about where the idle advance is. You may also be running lean, but without a air/fuel gauge it's hard to know. I think they are a worthy addition for tuning. Martin
