Mike,

You should use the original wire mesh inner with fiberglass insulation in
place of the the cloth batting wrap. If you discard the mesh, use can use
square mesh reinforcment wire to make a inner-cylinder in which you wrap
the fiberglass.

At each end use the silicone grommets available through airheadparts.

If ANY solid material like plastic or flex tube aluminum will allow the NVH
directly into the bus.

I sincerely apologize for not sending you my tutorial. I can't find it.
