Just keeping everyone up to date. Not good news though. I do want to thank you all for help, all ideas were good but I probably didn't do things right. So can't pass on tips to those with same problem. Well I have not fixed it. Of course now I have even more problem I have cleaned throughout. I have NOT touched the strike plate. I have removed and cleaned the lock. I tried bending the pull rod to make it shorter. Bad idea as it is so hard and got out of shape and I don't think it is the right length anymore. Maybe it had nothing to do with problem . Anyone know the true length? If that is the problem I will look for a used one. Samba has a passenger side one for sale, but mine might still be good. 1. It opens now from inside with a strong pull rather than a shove, saves bruising shoulder = good. 2. I can no longer lock it, from inside or out! The inner lever will not push down into lock position. The key turns outer lock, but immediately clicks open = bad 3. It will lock from outside IF I disconnect the inner pull rod. So currently relying on Club.. Glad not in Seattle where these campers get stolen frequently. Could of course leave inside trigger off and open via window 4. Mech says it is a body shop problem , he's an auto mechanic = bad Want to get the panel on soon John K
