iirc.. you are still working on "months old" gas... not completely fresh ...? I would suggest completely drain it.. and add 1 gal of FRESH gas... once you get it running, you can deal with the jug of old gas. fwiw... if you only have a small jug,, drain that much.. give it away to someone local.. and repeat till you are out of old gas... if you know someone with a Flexfuel vehicle.. they can run old gas without toooo much issues.. There is nothing MORE FRUSTRATING than trying to get OLD GAS to ignite.. especially when the temps are cooler. the local small engine shop that deals with a LOT of seasonal engines... goes thru a LOT of headaches convincing the customer there was nothing wrong with the 1 yr old lawn mower.. it just needed FRESH GAS, and a spark plug .... $80 please.. vaaaarooooom!
