Was it running when parked? First, drain tank and put new gas in. Check brake reservoir level. I'd check the condition of any rubber- is there cracking near ends of hoses to/from fuel pump? Gas line from tank connection? Sometimes mice chew on these, inspect closely. Cracking can be hard to tell under braiding, I often cut about 1/2" off the ends and reattach. Goes for any vac lines, like brake assist or carb attachments. Check air cleaner. Turn engine by hand using a socket on generator nut- will let you test any siezing. Install charged battery- resting voltage should be 12.7 if charged. Yank a spark plug wire from a plug and attach a used plug. Hold side to ground, have someone crank it briefly- do you see a blue spark? Then you have ignition. Gas could be gunked in lines- pull off connection to carb and see if it comes out clean when cranking. See that choke plate turns. Now start it.
