[T2] Westy Faucet Fail

I have just emailed bus depot. I've tried calling but the line is always busy. 
The new faucet is probably 3/4" taller. I'm tempted to whack away at it, but I think it kill the seal (i.e. it will start leaking at the picot point). The original one leaks at the pivot point of the faucet. The new one doesn't - so that is good.

if at first you don't succeed,  use a bigger hammer.

seriously have you touched base with Ron at Bus Depot it seems he would have run into this before and maybe has a quick and easy solution.

not being that familiar with the top cover design not sure if there is an easy way to make enough space for it.

how much taller is it than the stock unit.??
