It would be a lot of trouble but, Place the TDC pulley mark at case center on #1, pull the plugs, with the van jacked up with the R/R wheel still on the ground, put it in high gear. You can then turn the L/F wheel that is off the ground and turn the engine that way. By jacking up the left rear, you can look through the wheel opening and see the valve action. When #3 valves over lap, everything else should be aligned, TDC, #1 distributor cap, etc. #3 is the cylinder to the front of the van. If you don't see alignment, stop and let up know before you turn the engine any more. Unfortunately the distributor is the only thing you can fix at this point. If the cam/crank timing is off then a case split is required. For safety sake I would not get under the van! Jacks are a death sentence, never trust a jack!
