Hi Bob, did you put a jumper between battery and + on coil?  Listen for 
the double relay to click.  Fuel pump should run with vacuum of cranking 
if you got your harness hooked up! (or stick finger in air intake, but 
that is harder)!  Worst case, also jumper the fuel pump to see if 
pressure comes up, then crank it jumpered to coil.
