probably going to be stuck with physical heat and scraping.... you might try some of the more common solvents - acetone, xylene, naptha, to see if it softens it up - but even softened, you'll have to scrape. probably wont help if it was a pro installed liner (linex, rhino..) but the can-sprayed stuff might soften up. normal safety precautions around ventilation, exposure, explosions, and everything you don't want consumed by chemistry, apply - acetone is particularly problematic with latex and nitrole glove - thick pvc gloves work better. otherwise - heat gun, propane torch, and lots and lots of scraping. I have one issue I am dreading - the previous owner put a spray on bed liner of some sort in. Clearly there were many spots that were not fully prepped - and I've got some bubbling and peeling. Some of the bubbles are bursting - and large amounts of rust are coming out. > > This makes me want to take the whole bedliner off. > > I've been thinking of chemicals, or sand blasting...anyone gone through this that has tips? > > -Kevin Guarnotta > Jamaica Plain, MA > > '78 Westy > '69 Singlecab > '65 Ez-camper > > > _______________________________________________ > type2 mailing list > type2 at type2.com > https://www.type2.com/lists/type2/listinfo
