The common off the shelf wheel pullers really dont work on VW wheels - they expect to screw into something on the wheel that doesnt exist. Joey in SC used to make one - though it needs to be modified for bays as it's designed for splits - http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=478847 By far the best solution. but this route isn't a bad plan either and is probably the quickest path to a puller: http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=310527 Keep in mind, most bays are splined and not tapered - so you just loosen the nut (dont remove it) and give the wheel a tug, or a gentle tap, and it'll pop off. Except for the stubborn ones. if it is stuck....dont forget penetrating lube. don't hit it hard with anything, and dont try to yank hard by the outer rim. those will all lead to damage... if it's early and tapered, well, a puller is just best. :) On Mon, Jan 11, 2016 at 10:19 AM, Bob Pratt <ka1dza at verizon.net> wrote: > It's a 71 bay.
