I've sprayed all sort of stuff in there - not sure if it is getting to the bearings, but it still sounds/feel gravelly - like the bearings are shot. The whole motor appears to be pressed together - kind of like you are not supposed to take it apart. -Kevin Guarnotta Jamaica Plain, MA '78 Westy '69 Singlecab '65 Ez-camper -----Original Message----- From: accessys at smart.net [mailto:accessys at smart.net] Subject: Re: [T2] Rebuild Heater Blower? after WD40 (I prefer CRC) breaks up the crud lubricate the bearnings with a good silicone lube like Triflo. remember WD40 is NOT a lubricant it is a solvent Bob On Thu, 16 Jun 2016, Bob Pratt wrote: > Date: Thu, 16 Jun 2016 20:58:07 -0400 > From: Bob Pratt <ka1dza at verizon.net> > Check the bearings first. Give them a little squirt with WD40 and give the fan a couple of spins to see if the frees up the shaft before you tear the motor apart. > > Bob Pratt >
