Ok guys, thanks for the feedback.

I found this one that holds the phone and charges it - one of those wireless chargers.

It works ok- but I have a problem that I also had with my other chargers- the car charges intermittently. Not it is more pronounced - as every time the phone connects to charge wirelessly, it makes a sound.

When driving around, the charger appears to turn on and off. I was thinking that maybe the 12V port was not providing a constant 12V of power. I can't figure out how to address that. It does not seem to matter if I am driving at highway speeds or stop and go around town. I wonder if my electronics are drawing too many amps, and if I want to do that - I need a higher amp alternator?

Or maybe it is a sign that my alternator is failing. Any suggestions on troubleshooting?
