I changed the gear oil in the tranny today. Now I know why this is only done every 45 years or so. I bought a transfer pump at the local flaps and got all my tools and something to lay on. I got the oil warm and drained the gear oil. I replaced the plug and started to fill the transmission. The box said that the pump had a 1 quart capacity, ya right! I was able to transfer maybe a cup of oil at a time because the pump sucked a lot of air with the oil. With the spillage I used a little over 4 quarts. I won't live long enough to change it again!!!!
