The horn wire is for my '78 westy. The bottom is very different from my '69 - which has that annoying little tiny tab, that you need to have the tiniest longest fingers to get a spade connector on. On the '78 the only wire I see at the base is a sort of jumper, that appears to basically get the ground to go around the rubber coupling? Is there another wire down there I'm missing? The one I replaced was clearly broken. I'm thinking the brass ring under the steering column. I'll try to take that off maybe next week. -Kevin Guarnotta Jamaica Plain, MA â78 Westy '69 Singlecab '65 Ez-camper -----Original Message----- From: syd clarke [mailto:sydclarke at shaw.ca] Subject: Re: [T2] Heater controls? Kevin fine emory paper the brass ring on horn and on column, under the steering wheel. Did you check the entire length of the wire from bottom of steering column to horn? Also, that wee tab at bottom of steering column can get very 'dirty' and loose or broken, but you have prolly checked that already.....reason I ask is that on my '74 westy, I about went crazy trying to find why horn would not work....until an unphased, calm, knowledgable friend....came to my rescue and now everything on bus works that is electrical!! Cheers Syd
