dot 3 or dot 4.  either one is fine, they're perfectly interchangable
in our use cases.

never use dot 5 in anything you yourself haven't completely replace
the brake hydraulics on and chosen to use dot 5.  (even then, I
wouldn't recommend its use in a bus. but)
