[T2] Single cab gate latches

Hi Guys,

Another question about my singlecab. The latches that hold the gates up. These appear to be some sort of cast iron, heavy duty stuff. Mine had practically no rust, but a lot of coats of paint, and chipped. I have cleaned them up back to bare metal, and am now trying to figure out a painting scheme for them.

If I paint them with regular paint, I'm thinking they are just going to chip again where they latch together. Has anyone tried powder coating these?
