John, I'm running an old set of Bridgestone A/T 205/75r15 tires. These are NLA. They fit fine. No interference problems. In the past I ran passenger car tires in the same size. The Bridgestone doesn't quite fit in the storage well behind the front seat pushing the seat forward about 1/2" however other passenger tires fit fine. Take a look at tirerack.com for a selection of this size tires. Sadly none are strictly light truck rated however there is a Firestone A/T that looks nice. Load ratings are 1598 and 1609 lbs with 44psi inflation. Plenty of 165/80r15 âbugâ tires, low on load, skeptical tread patterns, but otherwise not much until 195/70 which can have clearance issues in the back sometimes. Oddly more 185r and 195r 14 choices still about. Just something else to ponder, as I was going to run rip off BRMs on my 1969 until I started looking at tires, admittedly with more offset so more clearance issues. > > John > > Sent from my iPad > >> On Sep 6, 2018, at 12:39 AM, c.dreike <c.dreike at verizon.net> wrote: >> >> Hi, >> I'm looking at installing front disk brakes on my 64 with 15" wheels. Seems that there is a clearance problem with the 15" wheels but not the 14". I would have thought that the 15" would have more space for the disk equipment than the 14". Is the profile of the wheels that different? >> >> Thanks guys. >> Chris >> 64DD Kamper Kit >> _______________________________________________ >> type2 mailing list >> type2 at type2.com >> https://www.type2.com/lists/type2/listinfo >
