Thanks David. Today I installed the water injection and took my bus on a freeway ride. (wow, empty freeways in Los Angeles today!!) Was able to take a cruise at 65-70 for about 10 miles down the 405 and back again. Being a cool day at about 63F I only saw 350F max on #3. I turned on the water injection and there was no discernible change in either temperature or power. Water was flowing at about .5 quart per hour. Maybe it needs a little more. Robert Mann suggested a flow rate of 1 part water to 20 of gas which would put the flow rate closer to .6 quarts per hour. Next time out i'll head North instead of South so I can climb the Santa Monica Mountain hill. It's close to 4 miles continuous uphill. Otherwise I may need to wait until next summer to get a good read on this.In the mean time I'll just drive it and slow down when the temp gets too high. One more thing, I have a porsche pulley on the alternator for extra air flow. Its been there all along. As for the oil temp, its now running at about 210F. Previously, before Installing an extra cooler, it was running at 260 on the highway. Its amazing that the oil no longer turns opaque black and only turns a transparent brown.
