Yup, I already have an extra bracket. So.... The only difference is the front tin? Is that because of the mustache bar? Thanks for the info! If your bug engine has a universal case, you should have the bolt hole for the mustache bar. If not they sell a conversion kit that mounts to the oil pump plate. I think they sell for about $12. You WILL need to mount the mustache bar as there isn't anything else holding up the engine and trans outside of the front trans mounts. > > Erik > '71 Westy > >> On Fri, Jan 11, 2019 at 7:15 AM Bob <ka1dza at verizon.net> wrote: >> Is it possible to install a 1600 engine from a super beetle into a â71 bay window.I need to do the temporary engine swap until I get the bus engine rebuilt.Have a great weekend my fellow bus pilots! >> >> >> Sent from AOL Mobile Mail >> Get the new AOL app: mail.mobile.aol.com >> _______________________________________________ >> type2 mailing list >> type2 at type2.com >> https://www.type2.com/lists/type2/listinfo
