[T2] Piston/cylinder kits

Hi all,
I know I'm going to get a number of different opinions, but....
It's been suggested that instead of just replacing the piston rings, that it's better just to replace the Pistons and jugs.
What is the opinion of the group, and where should I get them. I'm pretty sure the Mahle pistons and cylinders are the best.
