[T2] Steel sunroof

[T2] Steel sunroof

I had one on a 1982 Vanagon. Not a bay window, I know, but still a Golde
mechanism and almost every part is similar if a bit bigger.(I've worked on
Golde's on type 1, Type2, Vanagon (T3) and Volvo 244).
I don't know what you could do to make it better. I used my 82 as a service
vehicle and drove it for about 10 years. I guess the drains plugged up
about 3 times with vegetation, but other than that, not a single fault. I
tried to close it on a rope a couple times, stopped as soon as I felt it
tighten up. I'd still have it except my Ex wife had it destroyed in our
divorce. Freedom = priceless.
