[T2] Maximum engine torque with T2 stock transaxle (1600 cc)

Just got word back from Rancho Performance Transaxles

They did not quote torque, but said that 100 HP is safe.

My guess is, since the Porsche 914/6 engine does about 100 hp, has been
fitted into a VW T2 and does the 155 Nm, thats where these numbers come
from.

So I’ll go with that for a safe limit for now.
