Dave, Have you tried lying under the bus while someone moves the steering wheel from side to side? That will isolate the part or parts which have the free play. I think every component in the front end of my bus is new but i still have about 4â of play in the steering wheel, and the bus wanders on the road. I have replaced the steering box (3x), the drag link, the center pin, the tie rods, the steering damper, and the PO (my minister) said the ball joints were replaced not too long ago. 1) Any ideas?, or 2) A recommendation for a steering shop that might have better luck fixing it than I have?
