Thank you to all the people who got back to me with help. I'm pretty sure now that pin 23 is a shield connection for the sensor wire. I have never actually seen one of these in the flesh, so I don't know what it looks like. If anyone would like to host my new version, or just wants a copy, let me know. I have reformatted it slightly from the original on to an A1 sheet and it should be fully scalable. The PDF has the original scan underneath on a separate layer.
