So you couldn’t resist broaching the oil subject, eh? :-) I think the advice is sound as it jives with Ratwell’s persuasive treatise on the topic. It’s also in line with advice I recently got from “itinerant” Colin, at least for summer driving. I now get Mobil 1 15w-50 synthetic with the red label, since it has higher zinc content, sold at Walmart’s online for a reasonable price. I used Castrol Syntec 5w-50 before, but the oil pressure at speed was just too low for my liking.
