Hi Lee,
He is referring to the 356 Porsche pulley on the gen/alt.  We went with same years ago and found it upped the RPMs.  With DH pulley 1.8:1 ratio with 356 pulley 2:1.

So you are saying that with the fan running a little slower ? the engine 
ran cooler ?
