Hi Clara, Almost, but not quite. Filed/sawed out all casting flash out of the head fins before installing newly rebuilt engine. Also added full flow oil filter/pump. Regular engine tune up and oil changes every 3,000 miles, and change the oil filter every 6,000 miles. 2,700 miles replaced what turned out to be too strong of oil pressure relief spring with stock one. Oil pressure dropped to proper levels. 34,000 miles replace 30 PICT-1 with Brazilian H-30PIC with manual cable choke. 40,000 miles retorqued engine case fasteners and then head fasteners in same sequence as when assembling the engine. Reset end play from .0075" to .004". Replaced the Flywheel seal. Modified the DH shroud with type 4 cooler for running the manual choke cable thru it. 48,000 miles installed Porsche gen pulley. 68,000 miles pulled engine due to very slightly oily clutch and retorqued the engine case and heads again. Rebuilt heat exchangers with new rear pipes welded in place. 71,000 miles FW gland nut loosened up. Flattened crankshaft end, had a FW drilled for eight pins, German welded CW crank already had the four extra pin holes. 110,000 miles retorqued engine and head fasteners, and pulled transaxle back to replace front mount. There were other more work on outside of the engine long block, like fuel pumps leaking/rebuilds, replaced generator, or routine like replace spark plugs, etc....
