 Hi Kevin,
Would not sandblast, period. Too much chance to warp panels. Most of all, one virtually can never get out all the sand that will get into cracks, crevices, channels, tubing. There the trapped sand will act as a sponge medium to hold water. Water that will cause sooner than later rust to take hold on a daily driver.

Try 3M's safest stripper to get down to stock paint layer. Plastic wrap laid over the stripper helps to keep it from drying out too soon in warm weather or better to go at it in cooler weather.

Get an angel grinder and twisted wire wheels to do small areas down to rusty metal.

Use sandpaper, wire wheels, and phosphoric acid to remove ALL the rust. Apply a high zinc epoxy primer to the bare metal, once the metal is absolutely clean of all rust and shines up like silver (not like oxidized lead) when you polish it clean with the final run with wire wheel.
