Hi David,
Switch over to DOT 5 brake fluid, and use a brake cylinder approved silicon grease like what is sold at NAPA. Then bleed brake fluid once a year. Did that over fifteen years and about 140,000 miles ago, have only had one rear cylinder piston seize up, and only recently had to replace some rubber piston seals due to wear, but not rust.

Would be interesting to have the cylinders copper platted and not that expensive....

 E&B

A good stainless might not be a bad optioneither.of course, you could switch to a brake fluid that isn't hydroscopic, too...for me - the rubber craps out (gets stuck in shape). (though there'sprobably a bit of corrosion issue too, but the misshapen piston sealis usually the obvious culprit)------------------------------Subject: Digest Footer_______________________________________________vintagebus mailing listvintagebus at type2.comhttps://www.type2.com/lists/type2/listinfo------------------------------End of vintagebus Digest, Vol 32, Issue 2*****************************************
