> I spoke with Stacey at Oldspeed. Russ was out. He said they use Willwood calipers. Relatively easy to get parts for. Easy bolt on install. Will work with 14" rims. He recommended using their master cylinder, they have already removed the residual valve from it. He said it was not much money for that. They also said they include new wheel bearings. I had not thought of that. I'm not sure what master they're using - but that might not be a bad way to go. They support their customers well from what I've heard, so if you have any trouble they'll sort it out. It's easy enough to neuter the residual valve (remove it, knock the ball out, reinstall) on the split bus masters (some masters have it built in, dont recall the details) > I didn't realize the type of brake shoes you use made such a difference. I'll see to it that I get german shoes for the next time I need to replace them. Who do you get them from? To be honest, I dont know if they're available anymore. I think I paid over $100 per set of fronts and about $75 for rears last time I found them, and i bought 2 or 3 sets. (NOS pagid stuff). I'm not letting my spares go yet. :) Maybe once I finish figuring out a rear disk setup. I'd probably lean towards Ron's stuff he's importing as a close substitute: http://www.busdepot.com/297 but I dont see rears. But honestly the front really do most of the work, so a second rate rear is less critical than a second rate front.
