 Hi Kevin,What you have now for mirrors are junk that WW and others in the past sold.  Maybe cast concrete from head to arms or weld the heads to the arms, but the top arm joint always vibrates terribly.

The mirrors you posted that are being sold by WW look to be a pretty close copy of the original VWOA elephant mirrors that worked well.  Had not seen those as of yet, so whether these copies work well is unknown by us.

 The air cooled accessories mirror arms could have larger square mirror heads clamped to them, but unknown if you could get them to be as stable as the OG VWOA elephant mirrors.
Your doors may just need to be bent back upward.  To tell if you have slop in the hinges all you need to do is to grip the rear of the open door and lift up.  If the hinge halves very noticeably move separately, then you probably have worn hinges.E&B
