Thanks Al,Yesterday I saw a 64 and the owner said his front end was from a 68. Sure enough it has ball joints.I believe the ride might be softer as with my 71 bay, not sure on that however. Anyone know? The thing is, the ball joints are all the same, thus any year uprights will fit the 69 beam. This means 71-71 and 73-79 which both take disc brakes but the 73-79 are bigger, or better, I think. I know this was discussed about 15-16 years ago. Karl (RIP) had the details at the time.
