When we switched out the trans in daughter's 75 bus to a later one, I remember that I had to add a later starter and longer engine to trans bolts and studs as the bell housing depth where the bolts go is deeper- but it is still a 215mm clutch flywheel combo in engine. Shifts ok, but when pulling out the engine, the engine has to be dropped a tiny bit to have the oil filler tube clear under the rear box tube so the engine will clear the trans shaft and presses against the box tube before being lowered. Was there any difference in clutch cable lengths because of this? I think bus depot lists same cable 72-79 years.
