[T2] oil help?

Hi, I don't want to start an 'oil thread', but a friend says I can 
purchase small containers of 'zinc solution' to add to my '74 Westys 1.8 
new motor oil after I clean out all the 'initial start up' fluids and 
change the oil filter.  One list member said I think it was Mobil one of 
some viscosity, that already had more Zinc in it, so can someone tell me 
what viscosity that was, can I just add container of zinc to oil, and 
was that Mobil oil synthetic or ?
