Thanks â those are the bushings I was referring to. I donât think the fact that these were missing is the cause of my shifting woes. I think they just make the shifting a little sloppy. One of the bushings in the coupler/cage thing was pretty much wasted. This is what I think the problem was. So Iâll just replace the cage now â and save the other bushings for a time that I pull the engine.
