Hi Guys, My wife may need to go to CA for a work trip for an extended period of time. 4-6 weeks. I was thinking of joining her. I am in Boston - job is in CA. I was thinking of driving my Westy out there, have her meet me somewhere on the last ¼ of the trip with our 2 kids (age 3 & 6). Maybe near the Grand Canyon, or Arches National Park. Then we would either drive the last bit together, or drive some together then she would get back on a plane with my younger son, and fly back to CA and wait for me and my older one to finish the trip together. Aside from the fun trip driving across country - I am also looking forward to some fun weekend camping trips together while in CA - hence the desire to have my bus with me while there. I could probably have about 10-12 days to make the trip out to CA. It is a lot of miles - I have found if I drive over 250 miles in a day, it is more like getting from A to B, as opposed to enjoying the ride. Obviously I need to come up with a schedule - and also need to address all those outstanding issues on my bus before starting a long road trip (small oil leak & rear brakes) I anticipate needing some help along the way - just how things go, driving a 40 year old bus. Any thoughts... -Kevin Guarnotta Jamaica Plain, MA '78 Westy '69 Singlecab '65 Ez-camper
