Bob....... you have some "extras" that may need a fairly heavy wire... but Sid only wants to connect some dash lights in his gauges.. . I never said you need 6 taps for a couple small lights... so I don't know why either.. I was trying to offer Sid a easy place to connect some guage lights,, so they turn on with his dash lights... and didn't cause heartaches disrupting fuse box connections [murphies law something will fall apart] 6 taps puzzle me tooooo....... but wiring issues always bring out difference of opinions.. so I just offer a suggestion,, and hope it works for you.. YMMV as they say.! :-) Jamie >> ----- Original Message ----- From: <accessys at smart.net> >>> personally I wouldn't use the guage as a source for the tap as it IMO > > Jamie wrote: >> the gas gauge is only about 6v - 8v... so the vibrator regulates the >> voltage avail at the guage at alot less than 12v,,, so adding 20 watts of >> load for 4 tiny dash lights ... that will come on when the key is on... >> works >Bob Wrote I don't recall you mentioning why you need 6 taps for a couple >small lights. > > my previous owner provided a fused power wire so I have been putting > "extras" on that fairly heavy wire.
