Had a similar issue, check all connectors and insure that they are in good 
nick. Ck for vacuume leaks, make a smoke tester and I bet you find atleast 
one hose or gasket leaking. Tons of great vids on YouTube to make a smoke 
tester.

  There is a small port on the port (driver's in USA) side fuel rail where
  one can attach a fuel pressure gauge; it looks about the size of a tire
  stem valve cap, but it's steel. There should be residual pressure in the
  lines after minimal cranking. If you crack this cap open, some fuel should
  come out under pressure. If not, you're not getting fuel, or the pressure
  regulator is shot.
